"Human beings have always been mobile in some way. Migration should therefore be viewed as a very much everyday phenomenon that belongs to every society." Those are the introductory words of the workbook resulting from the Sparkling Science Project "Faces of Migration: Young People Research the History of Migration in their Families Together", that describe in a very concise way that migrations are the norm, not an exceptional phenomenon. In this workbook, you find ideas on how to tackle the subject of migrations with young people aged 12-15 with an emphasis on local history, and the students' individual as well as their family history as resources.
